The main breed is Polo Argentino, a cross between the Criollo horse and the thoroughbred, which results in agile and highly resistant horses, key characteristics to maintain the sporting level. Argentina is the cradle of the best polo ponies since it is at the forefront of the world in breeding, reproduction and commercialization. It is considered the world's leading producer of horses for this sport. Cambiaso has more than 1,500 polo horses and owns the famous mare called “Cuartetera”, which was awarded the prize for the best mare in the history of polo. He is also the greatest in the field of horse cloning, as he won the US Open final riding clone number 9, which got the Best Playing Pony Award at the end of the match.
