Dato Chevy Beh Memorial en La Dolfina

For the second consecutive year, La Dolfina organized the Dato Chevy Beh Memorial, a day dedicated to commemorating the life of Dato Chevy, beloved son of the Beh family. James, Chevy’s father and founder of BP Polo Club Malaysia, and his wife, Datin Poh Lay See, were present at the event that took place in the fields of La Dolfina Polo Club in Cañuelas.

The day started with a polo match in which both the Beh family and the Cambiaso family participated together with close friends. The BP Polo Club team, composed of Poroto Cambiaso, David Stirling, Guillermo Terrera and James Beh, faced off against the Doctor 2U team, with Adolfo Cambiaso, Diego Cavanagh, Alejo Taranco and Eduardo Greghi, in a 6-chukker match.  The match was won by BP Polo Club with a score of 6-5.

After the awards ceremony and some words from David Stirling and James Beh on the podium, the players and their families enjoyed an asado to close the gathering.

The event is a way to remember the essence of Dato Chevy and to bring together his family and friends in his honor. It is an opportunity to reflect upon the exceptional person he was and the impact he had on all those who met him.

After the match, James shared what this day means to him: “Today is a special day, we are playing this cup in his memory. It is as if my son was here with us, I feel him alive. I believe that he’s up there blessing us with this sunny day. Playing polo is a family bonding; we read each other’s character, our strengths, and weaknesses”.

The Dato Chevy Beh Memorial constitutes an event in his honor and has become a tradition for La Dolfina. Through this event, the organization accompanies and expresses gratitude to the family for their active and passionate participation in polo.

With the hope of continuing to honor his memory in the coming years, this event establishes itself as a lasting testimony of affection and respect towards the Beh family.
